Review of Lifted

Title: Lifted
Author: Hilary Freeman

Shoplifting and blogging... now Robyn's a celebrity.

Robyn is a compulsive shoplifter - with a difference. Everything she steals, she donates to charity shops - then blogs about it. She doesn't need to steal, but shoplifting gives her a buzz like no other.

Soon everybody's talking about the mystery blogger. At last Robyn has the fame she craves - but only one person knows who she really is, and he's sworn to secrecy...

Will Robyn risk revealing her true identity - and can she stop shoplifting before she gets caught?

My Review:
The story is told in blog parts and third person. It hooked me from the first page and I was eager to find out more. Ruby's home life isn't great and shoplifting is her way of escaping her life - it gives her an adrenalin rush like no other. I like how Ruby and Noah's relationship started to blossom, friends since they were young, then at high school split, now back together again as more than friends, but none of Ruby's friends know this as Ruby's nobody and Noah is a tall freak according to Ruby's friends - Hanni and Amanda.

I could never leave this book alone as I wanted to find out more about Robyn Hood's blog, Noah, and how it would all turn out. The blog posts, chats and emails, make it more personal like you were inside the book experiencing what they were experiencing.

All in all this was a really engaging book and a meaning of friendship and trust between people. I loved this book and it's a great read that everyone should add to their to be read pile!

Review of Stuck On Me

Title: Stuck On Me
Author: Hilary Freeman

Sky is going through a growth spurt and, terrifyingly, her nose seems to be growing faster than the rest of her face!

Sky's best friends Rosie and Vix don't understand her obsession. She's pretty - what's the problem? But when Sky's boyfriend Rich dumps her, it's the final straw. Determined to do something about her nose, she sets out on a journey that takes all three girls to parts of Camden Town they have never seen before...

My Review:
I got sent a copy of this book for review, it's the type of book that I really enjoy reading and I did really enjoy reading it!

Sky keeps thinking that her nose is HUGE! I mean literally humongous! Her dad left her when she was 8 and she never really knew what he was like. Everybody always remarked how her nose was like her dad's and then she asks her mum about her dad. Her mum reluctantly shows Sky all the things to do with her dad and answers questions. Sky finds out alot about her dad but, wants to know more...

Her, Rosie and Vix track him down and meet up with him but he's not how Sky imagines him to be. Then she sees a girl hanging round with her and Sky's jealous but who is she and what does she have to do with Sky...

Great book, definitely worth a read!!

Review Of Vengeance

Title: Vengeance
Author: Michelle Madow

When Chelsea discovered that her ex-boyfriend Drew dumped her to be with her former best friend - Lizzie, she never felt so betrayed in her life. Then her new friend Shannon tells her she can help her put things right. Chelsea's willing to listen, but Shannon wants her to believe that she shared a past life with Drew is possible. And what she wants her to do to get him back ... well, it's downright crazy!

Could Shannon be telling the truth? And if she is, what lengths will Chelsea go if it makes Lizzie pay?

My Review:
I finished this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. From the first page I was intrigued. When I turned the last page I wanted more but, I liked how what happened at the end could be entirely up to you.

The story is told from Chelsea's point of view instead of Lizzie's, you really feel how Chelsea would feel if that happened to you. In book 1 you get the impression that Chelsea is a bit whiny and is obsessed with her life but, in this book you feel the hurt that Chelsea felt.

Chelsea is grateful for Shannon's great aunt's help and as she can see her and Drew in a past life she can't see anything wrong with doing the enchantment that she has given her.

All in all, it's a great follow on from the first book and I defiantly recommend it for anyone! I love how the end is left up to you and the whole series is just great, I will read it again and again. Fab book!
